Leonardo da Vinci was born on April 15th, 1452 in Italy.
He went to Andrea del Verrocchio for his eduction and he became skilled in many different areas.
In 1478 Leonardo became an independent master and in 1482 he went in the service of Duke Lodovico Sforza of Milan. There he began with his first architectural pictures . But Leonardo wasn’t only a painter; he started also with scientific studies. For example about the optics and the anatomy mechanics.
In 1499 Ludovico Sforza was overthrown and Leonardo went back to Florence, where he began painting the pictures of the holy Anna Selbritt. He travelled as building consultant and in 1504 he painted the probaly most famous picture of the world : Mona Lisa! After that he went always more into science work.
Leonardo was the first human, who cut open dead people. to draw a plan of the human body. He made flight experiments and looked for the flow of the water. In 1506 he went back to Milan, where he began with biological and geological studies about the origin of the fossils, too. In 1513 he lived in Rome but he didn’t accept bigger orders.
In 1517 he got an invitation from King Francis of France, where he ordered his scientific works and at 67 years of age, on the 2nd May 1519, he died in Amboise.
I wrote about Leonardo da Vinci because he is for me the best artist, painter and architect, who ever lived on the world. He worked and researched in more than only one field and he was in everyone excellent. This is unbelievable for me.
Leonardo is my biggest example and idol.
