Enzo Anselmo Ferrari was born on February 18th 1898 near Modena in Italy. His father was a farmer and not very rich, but he had yet a little company which made sheds and gangways for the railroads in Italy. Enzo never was interested in school. He had other aspirations.
It is said that as a young man, he had three great ambitions: to be an opera singer, a sports journalist or a race car driver. The talent for the first and the second wish was not enough but for the third it was there. This was what he wanted.
Ferrari made a little car garage from his father’s company.
In 1919 he wanted to be test driver by Fiat in Turin, but he was rejected, because his school education was not so good. After that he became a private driver and bought a race car; he won a flew small races and in the same year he had a job by Construzioni Mecaniche Nazionali.

1920, Enzo was test driver by Alfa Romeo. He came second in an important race.
1926, Enzo Ferrari founded the “ Scuderia Ferrari “ and many, many victories came with the name Ferrari.
Enzo Ferrari died on the on the 14th August 1984 in the same place where he was born.
He was an intelligent man with many ideas! Now Scuderia Ferrari has become many times World Champion with Michael Schumacher in the Formel 1 and I hope, that never ends. $
